FinnFun Weekend is an annual event of Finnish Americans in northeastern USA celebrating Finnish heritage and culture. In 2009 it was hosted by the Finger Lakes Finns and held in Ithaca, N.Y. I was honored to do a presentation at the event of my ongoing project Finglish. In 2004 I started my annual trips around USA and Canada to photograph and interview American Finns and Canadian Finns. I was one of many lecturers and presenters who exposed the history and modernity of Finns in North America.
